  • Do I need to bring my wetsuit?
The water temperature in Aruba is around 78F. Whether you need a wet suit depends on your own comfort level. We provide 3 mm shorties with our equipment should you decide that you need one.
  • I'm very interested in diving, but I don't know for sure if I like it. Is there a way to go diving without taking the whole PADI Open Water Course?"
You can start with a Discover Scuba Dive, after which you decide if you want to continue with your Open Water Course. When you decide you want to continue after the Discover Scuba Dive, you will get 10% discount on your Open Water Course.
  • I would really like to go diving, but I don't have enough time to do the whole PADI Open Water Course. Is it possible to dive without certification?"
Yes, but only with an instructor and not deeper than 40 feet. First you start with a Discover Scuba Dive from shore. After this you can do a repeat Discover Scuba Dive from the boat.
  • I would like to do the Open Water Course, but I don't want to spend time in the classroom during my vacation. What are the possibilities?"
There are two options: 1. You can do your theory online with PADI e-learning from home. After this you can finish the practical part (pool session and 4 open water dives) with Aqua Windie's. You can find a link to the PADI e-learning on our website and start right away! 2. You can do your theory and pool skills at a dive center in your area and complete your 4 open water dives at Aqua Windie's.
  • I'm a certified diver and I want to continue my education. Do you offer an Advanced Open Water Course?
Yes, it takes about 2,5 days to complete your Advanced Open Water Course. When you are interested in more education after that it is also possible to do Specialty Courses or continue more professional with Rescue and Divemaster.
  • I haven't been diving in a while and I don't feel completely sure about my knowledge and/or diving. Is it possible to do a Refresh Course?
Yes, we find it very comforting for people to do a Refresh Course when they haven’t been diving in a while. The diving becomes much more fun and rewarding when you feel comfortable in the water. Make your diving experience on Aruba as much fun as possible!
  • Do you offer night diving?
Yes, night dives can be scheduled on request on Tuesday and Thursday. We would take a minimum of 2 guests to dive from shore and 5 to dive from our boat.
  • My travel companion is not a diver, do you have suggestions on how to go diving and spend time with him/her?"
There are 2 options: 1. Your friend can do a Discover Scuba Dive and you accompany him/her on that dive(s). 2. Your friend can join a shore or boat trip to do some snorkeling or just relax on the beach/boat. On our boat we have limited space for snorkelers.
  • I will be on vacation with my children and plan to go on diving. Can you suggest any activities for my children to do while I am diving?
There are a few options: 1. We have a PADI Bubblemaker program in our pool that introduces children to the diving world (age 8 years and up). 2. During summer vacation we organize summer activities for children (age 4 and up). 3. Some hotels offer childcare services or baby-sitter when staying there.
  • How do I know that I'm fit for diving?
The best way to know is to seek advice of your physician. We have a medical form that you can check, and when you have to answer YES to one of the questions we advice you to see your physician before diving.
